Tubby Dogs – A unique experience in hot dog cuisine. If you enjoy a little adventure with your food, you are sure to ‘relish’ a place like this.

For this adventure, a few of the girls from work (Sherri, Nicole, Meghan and Julie) took the plunge and joined me on my quest for something different. Special thanks go out to Julie, who happened to mention my Radio Station Adventure to a friend of hers at CJSW Radio who said I should try 50 visits to Tubby Dogs. When she explained to me the option of Cap N Crunch Cereal or Wasabi on a hot dog and that the décor was livened up with weird food displays like Chicken in a Can, I just had to give it a whirl.
Between the five of us we enjoyed a variety of items like Yam Fries, Onion Rings as big as your head, mixed potato chips with the works as well as my Yum in your Tum menu choice of a hot dog topped with Peanut Butter and Jelly and Cap N Crunch cereal. I won’t forget seeing another customer with his dog piled high with bacon, chili, cheese and a fried egg! The final Touch - I couldn’t leave without at least one game of pinball to bring me back to the seventies, although I’m pretty sure I used to be really good at pinball.
As for the suggestion of 50 visits, I believe I'll pass. An adventure it was but my stomach does not necessarily agree that I should do that too often.
