During the 1988 Olympics in Calgary, Canada Olympic Park was born to accomodate skiers, lugers and bobsledders around the world for Olympic competition. While Calgary's time has come and gone, the facilities are still used today. Now, anyone can have the experience of a lifetime. Of course, it's always more fun when you do it with someone else.
There we were; me, my Mom Gloria and my boyfriend Bill at the top of the boblsed run waiting to do something a little on the wild side. First things first, sign the waiver. Next, grab a helmet, get a snapshot and climb aboard. Like the Tshirt says, 60 seconds you will talk about for the rest of your life.
Okay, now truth be told, it wasn't the most comfortable ride I've been on. I was expecting the feeling of a waterslide on snow and what I got was a lot of rocking and bumping through 14 twists and turns at a speed of 120 km an hour. About half way down, I was wondering when the heck it would be over. Today, the day AFTER, I feel like I was run over by a truck. This may have something to do with the fact that I volunteered to be at the back, you know, to get more of the G Force. Good thinking Loretta.
Overall, I'm glad I had the experience but to put it bluntly, been there, done that, got the Tshirt......Next!
As for mom and Bill, they aren't complaining. I have to congratulate them on taking the plunge with me. As for their personal experience, you'll have to ask them.
